The Fabulous Fox Theatre
The Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis is one of the most breathtaking buildings you will ever see. It’s one of a kind architecture and world class productions make it a must visit stop on any St. Louis itinerary. Visiting this beautiful St. Louis theater is also a great date night idea in St. Louis.
If you’re lucky enough to live within driving distance of this gorgeous theatre, I highly recommend visiting as often as you can. Seeing as many shows as possible at the Fox Theater is one of my 2023 goals.
Shows at The Fox Theater St. Louis
Visiting The Fox Theatre is fun for all ages and they have a variety of shows so everyone can find one they love. The 2022/2023 season at The Fox Theatre has been one for the books so far with titles such as Frozen the musical, Elf, and HadesTown.
Fox Theater Seating
See a great show no matter where you sit at The Fox Theatre. The acoustics at The Fox are phenomenal so you’ll hear every beautiful note. I prefer to sit in the Orchestra section toward the middle to get a great view of the stage too.
Food at The Fox Theater
There are many food options at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis both inside the Theatre and nearby. One great option is the Curtain Call Lounge where you can get themed cocktails and some delicious dinner before seeing a show at the Fabulous Fox. Another favorite of mine is the Left Stage Grill, which is located right next door to the Fox Theater.
The Architecture of the Fox Theater
The architectural style of the Fabulous Fox Theatre is known as Siamese Byzantine. It was designed by C. Howard Crane and opened in the year 1929. Crane was known for designing ornate movie palaces, which was what the Fox Theatre started out as. The St. Louis Theatre was fully restored in 1982 then started showing live theatre shows in St. Louis.

Fabulous Fox theater Dress Code
There is no dress code for the Fox Theatre but I would say people usually dress up a little. A nice sweater and pants or a dress shirt and dress pants would be appropriate. Women often wear casual dresses when it’s warmer outside.

Parking is $20 at the parking garage or $18 if you pre-pay online.
Street parking is sometimes available but you may have to walk a few blocks to the Fox Theater

Yes! As you’ll see on my Instagram page you can definitely take pictures at the Fox theatre. They just ask that you keep your phone put away during the show so everyone around you can enjoy it.

Highly recommend seeing one of the amazing shows at the Fox Theater in St. Louis. All Fox Theater seating options are great but I personally love to sit in the middle of the Orchestra section because of the viewpoint and the sound quality. The Fabulous Fox Theatre should definitely be a part of your next St. Louis date night or itinerary!
